Tournament gallery – Experience a new display celebrating The Field of Cloth of Gold, featuring Henry VIII’s armours made for one of the most amazing sporting and political events ever staged
War gallery – Explore how the history of warfare has changed from the early days of hand-to-hand combat to today’s technology-based warfare, including our new display on the Second World War
Oriental gallery – Discover the artistry and technology of impressive arms and armour from Asia, including the only example of elephant armour in any public collection in the world
Self-defence gallery – Explore how personal protection has developed from the middle ages to the 21st century and how weapons feature in popular culture
Hunting gallery – Learn about the history of hunting and the weapons from prehistory to the 20th century and see some of the most elegantly decorated items in our collection as works of art (Please note that the Hunting Gallery is currently closed in preparation for the launch of an exciting new exhibition later in 2023, thank you for your patience and understanding.)
